Tape Lighting is a very similar lighting fixture to Rope Lights, but there is a difference. Tape lighting is lighter in weight, more flexible than the heavy PVC coated Rope Lights, and normally is supplied with a peel-off backing that reveals a thin layer of glue so you can secure them to walls, around skirting boards, windows, furniture, hot tubs, in fact, anywhere you'd like to stick them!
LED tape lights are also called strip lights or ribbon lights. There are waterproof versions that can be used outdoors, and some that are only suitable for interior fixtures. The biggest reason people love using LED lights is how efficient and bright they are. They save quite a bit on energy costs and last extremely long time, many claim to last for up to 50,000 hours. The can also be controlled with an infra red remote control, so they can flash and change colour automatically at the press of a button.
