DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone Fly More Combo With RC2 Controller

DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone Fly More Combo RC2

If you are thinking about buying a new drone for the first time, then you'll probably be looking for one that is under the 249g weight. This means that you won't need a licence to fly. I recently purchased the DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone Fly More Combo RC2 for 2 reasons. The first is my insane interest in what my other half says is... "Boys Toys!". Well she has a point there. But my main first reason was to see whether or not to start to stock some of the DJI products, after all, if I can't fly one or demonstrate just how good/bad it is, then I shouldn't be selling it.

My second reason was to perhaps open a new side-line to my business here at Yowcha in Grimsby. I have often been asked if I stock drones, but I've also got into conversations about our "boys toys", namely working drones on many occasions. Some of my customers needed a low-cost way of roof inspections, without having to buy ladders and climb the roof themselves, which is not advisable! And other reasons like looking for the reasons for damp acruing inside their property - this is often caused by blocked guttering, or cracks that cannot be seen in the building itself at ground level.

Regarding the questions regarding using the drones for work purposes, I have already within 2 month of buying my Mini 4 Pro, had 3 satified customers that needed someone with a drone to inspect their properties from a height, and another customer that wanted some aerial views of their property that was on the sales market. So it has already paid for itself.

By the way... a little plug for myself here, if there are any people in the north Lincolnshire area that needs any kind of height inspections, please give Yowcha a call on 01472 488070 for a cost-effective quote!

After testing, I couldn't be more impressed with its capabilities. This drone truly represents a remarkable leap in technology, making it a fantastic choice for both professional photographers and beginners alike.

The enhanced imaging capabilities are outstanding! The quality of the photos and videos is nothing short of breathtaking, capturing every detail with stunning clarity and vibrant colours. Whether I’m shooting landscapes or action shots, the Mini 4 Pro delivers amazing results that elevate my creative projects.

Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing

One feature that stands out is the 360-degree omnidirectional obstacle sensing. If you are someone new to drone flying, this excellent new technology will give you so much more confidence in navigating through complex environments.

The obstacle detection works flawlessly, allowing for smoother and safer flights, which is crucial when you’re still mastering the controls. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to operate, and I found myself getting the hang of it in no time. The combination of professional-grade performance with accessible features is exactly what I needed to boost my aerial photography skills.

Overall, the DJI Mini 4 Pro is an impressive drone that exceeds expectations. It’s perfect for anyone looking to enhance their photography or simply enjoy flying a state-of-the-art drone. Highly recommended!

The slight downside I found with the DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone Fly More Combo with the RC2 Controller, was the carry bag. The carry bag is well-made without a doubt, but it is an incredible tight squeeze trying to fit all your equipment back into the bag! And if you are like me, I never take the time to look exactly how DJI pack it away because I'm so excited to get the stuff out and get flying!

But all is not lost, after struggling for a while, I ordered a hard case that was specifically designed for the DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone Fly More Combo, and I'm now 'as happy as a pig in sh*t' (as my dad would have said!)

But just a quick word about buying accessories from this drone.

  1. Buying a carry case looks easy, but you need to check-out the reviews on each one. In particular, look at the spacing between each item in the case and you might notice that some of the hard plastic carry cases, have a small, but easily missed gap between each storage slot for the batteries.

Some buyers have reviewed that their batteries were actually not sitting correctly after using the case on a trip. So make sure that the foam in the hard carry case is showing between each battery slot inside the carry case.

  2. I found it very difficult to view the RC2 Screen in bright sunlight. This impelled me to buy another accesory, the sunscreen shade, made for this particular drone. However, looking at many examples of sunscreens, and although they fit beautifully around the drone, they were restrictive when I am trying to use my thumbs when the sunscreen is fitted.

So if I needed to tilt the sunscreen down and towards me, my thumbs would get trapped! So I made sure that I bought one where mythumbs laid across the outside of it so I could tilt the sunscreen further towards me if needed, and it couldn't trap my thumbs or restric my thumb movents.
